Balanced Behavioral Health for OCD, Anxiety, & Eating Disorders

At NYM, we prioritize your mental well-being through personalized guidance and support, helping you nourish your mind in meaningful ways. We provide care for a range of mental health concerns, with specialized expertise in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety Disorders, and Eating Disorders.

OCD is not a reflection of who you are, your values, or your worth. It is a condition in which the brain’s alarm system becomes overactive, leading to intrusive thoughts, images, and strong urges to relieve discomfort through mental or behavioral responses.

We treat OCD using evidence-based approaches that focus on changing how you respond to anxiety and uncertainty. Rather than trying to control or eliminate intrusive thoughts, our treatment helps you build confidence in your ability to experience discomfort without letting OCD control your choices.

In addition to OCD, we work with individuals experiencing anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety, panic, social anxiety, and health-related fears. Anxiety often shows up as persistent worry, physical tension, avoidance, or a constant sense that something is wrong or about to go wrong. Our work focuses on helping clients understand how anxiety operates in the brain and body while learning practical strategies to gradually face fears, tolerate uncertainty, and reconnect with the parts of life that matter most.

We also maintain a clinical focus in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating. These experiences often involve complex relationships with food, body image, control, and self-worth. Our approach recognizes that eating disorders are not simply about food, but are often tied to deeper emotional, cognitive, and behavioral patterns. Treatment focuses on restoring a balanced relationship with food, improving body trust, and developing healthier ways of coping with distress while supporting long-term physical and emotional well-being.

OCD, anxiety, and eating disorders can be exhausting and isolating. Many clients come to treatment feeling ashamed, confused, or afraid of their own thoughts, urges, or behaviors. Our role at NYM is to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can understand their symptoms, build effective coping skills, and reclaim a values-guided life.

Recovery is possible; not by eliminating uncertainty or distress, but by learning that you can live fully alongside it. Through expert care grounded in compassion, Nourish Your Mind aims to support each person in moving toward greater freedom, health, and self-trust.
